Botox

What is BOTOX® ?

Botox, or Botulinum Toxin Type A, is a temporary treatment that works by blocking nerve signals to the muscles, thereby reducing muscle contractions that cause wrinkles and fine lines.

BOTOX® does not remove wrinkles which are permanently engraved in the skin, regardless of muscle movement, although it may soften them.

How soon will I see the results of BOTOX® ?

Your initial results will appear within 2-5 days and continue to improve for up to 14 days.

How long does BOTOX® last?

On average, the effects of Botox typically last for about 3 to 6 months. However, this varies from person to person, the duration can be influenced by various factors, including:

Individual Metabolism: The rate at which the body metabolizes Botox can affect how long it remains active in the system.

Dosage and Treatment Area: The individuals metabolism, dosage and treatment area, injection technique, frequency of treatment, age and lifestyle.

Does BOTOX® hurt?

No. Emma Jordan Aesthetics use the smallest needles on the market, so few customers experience even mild discomfort. Likewise, unlike some other operators, our clinicians are trained to use a high turnover of needles per client, so bruising is minimised.

If you prefer, local anaesthetic cream can be applied to minimise sensation.

Can I Fly after treatment?

Skin Boosters

What are skin Boosters ?

The product is based on hyaluronic acid like other temporary dermal fillers, but the formulation is different. Once injected, the product immediately starts spreading due to the high concentration of HA and its cohesive nature.  Specifically designed for loose skin; which hydrates, boosts and remodels ageing and sagging tissue for a younger and fresher look. It can be used to remodel the hands, neck, face, décolletage and upper arms, to spread a fine level over a larger area to refresh – rather than to volumise.

How long do the benefits last?

Generally most skin booster treatment can be expected to last around 6 months after your initial sessions.

Can I have Skin booster treatment with BOTOX?

Skin booster treatment can be used in conjunction with BOTOX injections and other procedures to help you attain a fuller result and a more youthful appearance.

What side effects could I expect?

Skin booster injections are generally very well tolerated and any side effects tend to be relatively minor and short-lived. You may find localised skin irritation, itchiness, swelling or bruising after treatment. This will normally pass within a few days.

Dermal Filler

What is dermal filler and how does it work?

Injectable dermal fillers are made of hyaluronic Acid (HA) in the form of a gel. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance ( a complex sugar) that stabilises the skin structure, attracts and binds water, and contributes to the elastic properties of the skin that allow it to remain tight . Injections of HA dermal filler into the skin are thought to replenish its natural support structures which are damaged by aging. Dermal filler injectable gels are commonly used for restoring facial volume and providing enhancement to areas of the face such as cheeks, jawline and lip augmentation.

Do I need an initial consultation before a dermal filler treatment?

Our Injector will always provide a consultation before treatment, but you can usually have the treatment during the same appointment.

When will I see the effects of my dermal filler treatment?

Immediately, although the optimum result will be at 4weeks post treatment when any bruising or swelling has settled.

Are dermal fillers safe?

Yes when injected by a trained medical professional. Only 1 in 20,000 treatments result in an allergic reaction. Although dermal fillers can be reversed using another injection, this requirement is extremely rare.

Where does the dermal filler go after the results fade?

The gel is broken down naturally and reabsorbed by the skin.

When the results fade, will my wrinkles be worse than they were before?

No. Your appearance will simply return to how it was before you began dermal filler treatment.
